Alder Bench

Here’s a bench we made for “FORAGE” in Silverlake. The bench was made from Alder that was rejected from a guitar maker. We took it before it became firewood and made it into slabs. This came out to 35 feet long. We beveled the top both ways and put steel hairpin legs on it and finished it with natural wax. Came out awesome. The bench’s color has since been altered by the restaurant. I prefer the original clear wax.

"BANK TABLE"

I just finished a new table design for a customer and brought it to life. I’m calling this the “Bank Table” because it’s the newest design from our new shop that just happens to be an old bank. This is one of my favorite tables yet. If I can find enough of this wood I’m going to produce a bunch of these. The steel legs came off of old factory sewing machines. The wood was naturally aged and waxed. The natural aging process brought out even purples in this mix of wood.

Toms Shoes benches

We just got done getting some benches made for Toms shoes. These are all made out of reclaimed hemlock and are silk screened. I’ll follow up with some pictures once the finishes are done. Toms is a great company. They give away a pair of shoes to kids in need for every pair bought. These benches will go to select stores that sell these shoes.
